( Not a big fancy offer, average offer for 4 years of experience in Non FAANG ) Resources I recommend for interview prep Coding - Leetcode - GeeksForGeeks (self-paced course by Sandeep Jain is good ) - TechInterviewHandbook ( https://www.techinterviewhandbook.org/ ) System design - Grokking the system design - Alexxu - DDAT ( Currently reading ) Ignore any other famous names like Gaurav Sen and Real Engineering, they are just meh. Gaurav Sen's course felt like he never really designed any system. Too much useless theory and he himself looks a lot confused in the course. Real Engineer is all marketing. Not worth 40k for a course. You can use that to buy a lot of ( books resources + mock interviews ). His pricing strategy of course is what to buy next in his house. LLD - refactoring guru

I have 9 years of experience in software development.Is the paid course by Gaurav Sen about system design on interview ready really useful? Thinking of buying it for interview preparation.

Hi everyone, I'm looking to switch jobs for a better pay as my current CTC is 4.06 LPA which doesn't suffice me at all. Also, I have got many calls for interviews but out of them only 6 interviews got arranged and in those interviews as well I am unable to ace them at all. I'm trying to apply for a Java Full Stack developer. I need suggestions as to where I should concentrate and how I should prepare myself. In the last few interviews that I gave, the interviewers asked questions about creating small programs and they didn't ask anything about my current and previous projects that I worked on. I need some suggestions as to what I can do here in this case. Also, how much salary can I expect for a switch if I have to answer for an expected salary. Thanks.

I started with a job of 8k/month as a data entry operator after my B.Tech from an expensive tier 4 college which I paid for using an education loan. Had major inferiority complex. Probably still do. Took some 5 years years after b.tech to pay that off. Didn't have a job in 2 of those years. Worked as a milkman for those two years. Anyway..somehow I got a meaningful job in 2017 and today I am a tech lead with 70L base and some equity. Reached this giant(atleast in my mind) milestone of 1 Cr this month. Could not have even dreamt of this much money some 5 years back. Yet, now some family members and family tell me "tukka lag gya tera" (you got lucky). But I keep feeling that I did kinda work hard for this in a way but it hurts when a first uncle or first cousin says "Tukka lag gya tera". Ofcourse now I feel financially confident(somewhat) and I try enjoy whatever pressures I can. Just wanted to share my little story.

I am working remotely at a SaaS company for 4+ years now. I started working since my final year of engineering. I joined here as a software engineering intern when the product was really new and booming. I have gotten bored of my work now, especially since I have been working from home all the time. I have very little social life. And I am getting fixed salary of about $1400 each month. I am thinking of switching to any Indian startup because I am not happy with my job being so monotonous and less pay at this level of experience. What should be the approach to crack the interviews? I have done DSA practice during my college days, but didn't crack any interviews with it. I am a full stack web developer but it doesn't excite me anymore and I want to stick to backend roles. And is it possible to crack an interview with for 30-40 LPA at this stage? Or do I have to climb up a salary ladder for a couple of years?

I am an early career dev with a few years of experience primarily in the frontend domain. I want to read atleast 2 technical books next year to upskill in general as a software engineer. Please share your recommendations.

Hi Grapeviners, I have close to 3.5 YOE as a software engineer. I am thinking of starting to prepare for interviews. Before joining my current org, I was a good/average coder on CP platforms. I want to restart this again, but am overwhelmed with 100s of resources. I want to start CP, frontend, backend and system design. Are there any resources which you have used while preparing for SDE2 interviews. Even if you have resources for one of the above topics, please add in the comments as it might help someone. I'm a frontend dev, with close to 5 years of workex. I've been trying to switch to a full stack dev role for a couple of years now. Tried switching internally, but it didn't work because there were too many backend devs and too much dependency. Stuck with an infinite leetcode loop, did online courses but couldn't put those skills to work in building projects. I'm looking for some advice with a focus on cracking the interviews. The plan is to take up a Full stack dev role in the next 3 months. Thanks in advance!

I have 3.5 yoe and currently in my hometown which isn't a IT hub but still I am getting 8LPA. I am a full stack developer have knowledge in Angular, React, Node, MongoDB and AWS services. How do I switch and get a good paying job? Please guide me.
