Pairwise matching ML modelling
Has anyone worked with ML problems where we need to match N elements from 1 dataset to M elements from another (N>M, or 1 m can have multiple n)? What business domains have such problems? What modelling approaches, feature engineering and ML models did you use?
What else can be done to create a joint dataset out of 2 datasets when there's no column in common and no. of rows are different?
There are no straightforward business rules too that can help achieve this with great accuracy, only some moderately useful heuristics.
