Frontend roadmap and career
To all the fellow UI, Frontend developers what roadmap or career do you see for yourself after working more than 10years into the field? Would you change your field to some new domain such as Data or AI? Management is one possible and common direction.
Done with 4 years and now planning to learn backend and become full-stack by this year.
I have been in the industry for around 10 yrs now. I feel UI wouldn’t be as fancy as it is in the future.
High possibility that nocode webapps will take over most opportunities.
Like c or c++. There would be always some market but not the way it is now.
Management or principal engineer positions will still work I guess
Does a frontend (only) developer with 10+ yr experience even exist?

Yes. There are roles of Individual contributors such as Principal Software Engineer, Technical Expert, Distinguished Engineer etc
