How is compliance team at Goldman sachs?

I'm exploring roles in Loan operations field and came across an opportunity for associate position in Goldman Sachs. Could anyone share insights on the role and the interview questions I might encounter? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi folks, Can anyone share their experience about Goldman Sachs . Is it worth joining as a software developer with ~ 20 to 25 % hike on base.(no idea about bonus) They have strict 5 days WFO. I saw many reviews mentioning their worst WLB ? Plus I'll have to shift to Banglore from Pune. Please share genuine advice / feedback / experience !! Thanks!!

I recently got laid off and then joined a US based startup for 35L comp (all fixed) The interview for associate position in GS has been happening from more than a month and i just have the hiring manager round left. So I am expecting an offer How much can I expect for this level at goldman sachs? Can I quote 45L fixed and negotiate from there? Also is it a good thing to join goldman sachs leaving a well funded US Based series B startup? Im from a tier 3 univ and only worked in startups so i guess this will also give me a good title on my resume Yoe: 3.7 TC: 35L

Received competing offers from the 2 companies and really confused about which one to join. Numbers are in INR LPA. Flipkart: Fixed- 66 Bonus- 10 ESOPs- 42 (vests over 4 years and you are allowed to keep them even after resigning. Given a Flipkart IPO is inevitable in the next 10 years, these are not worthless ESOPs) Goldman Sachs: Fixed- 67 Bonus- 21 (This is the "whisper" bonus told by the HR and will not be mentioned on the offer letter. However, upon enquiring with my GS friends, it seems you almost always get this amount in the 1st year. 2nd year onwards the bonus is a function of GS + your performance and can be between 10-40%.) Really confused as both the numbers seem similar to me in terms of comp. Other factors to consider: 1. GS is 5 days WFO 2. The role at GS is MLE (new for me) whereas it is DS at Flipkart in a field of my interest. Would appreciate any pointers especially from folks at Flipkart and GS.
