I'm investing in Genius stocks SIP since 16 months now and it has been great so far. It has given me 31% absolute returns with 47% XIRR.

What I noticed is that my non genius stock investments have also given me similar/more returns in many cases. ( I had picked some potential growth stocks through a separate personal experiment and it clicked)

But if you're a frequent investor and you know your stock investments, then I'd suggest you to not go ahead with this.

The only advantage was during certain corrections, the fund rebalances and invests more in GOLDBEES and NIFTY 5 Year consistent ETF to reduce your losses. It also sells off a share when you reach 30-40% returns. Many of the shares have later rallied so much that it could've gone beyond 100% had they not sold it off early.

It's true potential would be known during bear market.

Hi @Jetbrains
I took the service of ETMoney Genius initially when it was just some 147rs. Now it is billed at 747/quarter. Unlike @batmanwithparents I have used Genius for Mutual Funds portfolio instead of stocks but I would say more or less my experience also has been the same.

I have been investing in MF's on my own and the non-genius portfolio has given much better returns than the Genius one.
XIRR: Genius - 16.49% Non-Genius - 21.02%

Absolute Returns: Genius - 18.01% Non-genius - 30.94%

One thing to note is that my non-genius portfolio has been going on for more than 5 years(May be it has the advantage of time) whereas the Genius portfolio is going on from just 1+ odd year.

One big advantage with Genius is it's rebalancing, which I have the headache of doing by myself, with my other portfolio. But since I don't do the rebalancing using proper techniques or analysis but rather by watching youtube videos and with a little bit of my own research, I would like to continue with Genius for some more time. Hence my continuation of the membership.

On a side note, I have been looking out for apps/companies who provide similar services(paid ones) and then compare it with the Genius service and then draw a conclusion.

The ones that are on my mind are:

  1. Value research
  2. Liquide
  3. Univest If anyone knows any other apps, kindly let me know. I would like to check out them.
