I have for the past couple of months gone through really pathetic and exploitative behaviour of the Indian companies (especially startups).
They ask to do extensive assignments, wasting a lot of time, just because they have an upper hand Then they completely ghost candidates with no response (most times) / delayed response
This is really pathetic. Lack of empathy just shows how immature and under-developed you are. If you ask someone to invest their time, you have the responsibility of timely and proper communication.
ALMOST ALL STARTUP HIRING MANAGERS AND HR TEAMS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS.
This is also being done by so called Great Place To Work companies. The hiring culture and employee culture both have deteriorated in last 2 years
GPTW is a paid certificate every tom dick and harry is buying it now.
Not to mention most of the times these assignments are the problems they are facing themselves and want an outsider's perspectives/ free ideas on how to solve them

I have read that they are burning a lot of money. But I still see them hiring. Have they laid people off recently? Current employees shed some light on what’s happening internally.
