Experience count

I am a frontend dev, I had 8 months of internship experience where I worked as a frontend dev intern Plus now I am working full-time as a front-end dev in another company and have five months of full-time work experience here. Does my internship experience also count when I look for a new job or only full-time experience would be considered? I am looking for a switch so can I apply for 1+ yoe jd
