If you have the ESOPs vested, then you can only sell them when the company buys back the vested shares. That usually happens during a fundraise or if the company gets acquired. However, if neither of those happen and if the company shuts down, you won’t get anything. In addition to that, the company may not buy back all the vested shares, just a percentage if it.

I don't think, I'm getting any sort of liquidation any soon. Btw thanks for sharing, helps me understand better and make our ESOPS policy.
