Resigning in remote companies
I'll be quitting a week from now and wanted to know proper etiquettes while resigning in a remote job. Do you directly apply for resignation on your HR portal or hit up your supervisor first. If you do hit him up, do you drop in a message or directly call him over the phone saying you'll be leaving? Any personal experiences would be super helpful.
Depends on how ur relation is with ur supervisor. If it’s good then please do the courtesy of calling him up and letting him know. Then u can drop the email

Correct! It would be good to call your manager first
send an official email to your reporting manager and hr and do a cc your personal email.

It's a pretty small company though and everybody is on good terms. I feel directly dropping a resignation mail seems a bit hasty.
then setup a meeting with your supervisor, and say it informally then mail
Its better to inform your supervisor / lead first, via any media as informal. Then after confirming with them you may put a proper resignation via email or portal depending upon your org.

Set up a call with your RM, tell them of your decision.
Draft the resignation mail, send to all required stakeholders (RM, any other superior, HR, etc).
