Just Genz things

What is it that you like and dislike about them in general?

I'll be happy to answer any questions about GenZ! GenZ are the most diverse generation (accelerated by growing up with the internet since we were 4 years old) and you cannot generalise by saying 'this is genz' because no matter what, not even 30% of us are similar. Yes, we run after validation on Instagram. And yes it's unhealthy. But it's not fair to single us out. Older generations have also been obsessed with TV News, FB and Twitter. No need to deny, we all know. GenZ also more openly talks about mental health and we call out things which the older generations just accepted as 'aisa hi hota hai'. Think Gender Inclusivity, Harmful Climate Practices, Running after only Salary, Marriage and Kids, Jobs where you're not treated with Basic Human Dignity, Shitty Mental Health, etc. We're conscious about prioritising our mental health, even though it's tougher for us than ever before, so we're sorry if our calling things 'toxic' annoys you a little. We're all extremely concerned about Climate Change because we know we're the last generation which can fix this.

Hearing alot about GenZ not being serious about work, lack of expected manners, careless about impact (these are not my opinions) etc, i was wondering this is the reason why a) millennials are able to save their jobs bcoz their managers are used to of certain way of working b) freshers are not getting jobs as it was 3-4 years back, even out of top colleges! (Source - Latest IIT placement reports) is it true or i am just being optimistic that my job is secured? 😂

GenZ comprises of young population who were born between 2000-2005. Since 2020 indian corporate sector is witnessing genzs as new entrants in the workforce. And it is set to comprise nearly 50% of the total employees in the next five years. But GenZ s have been in the news recently for their novel approach to profession. Employers and bosses are finding it hard time to deal with the new work culture youngsters bringing along with them. Some of the traits of the above can be put as follows : 1. Intolerance towards toxic boss 2. Non-identification with the company 3. Focus on purpose in work i.e. something beyond earning money and rising above just earning money. 4. Time for themselves Guidelines to be followed for GenZ employees : 1. Limiting working hours to maximum 6 (3+3) hrs per day and 4-5 days per week. Ideal would be to follow 4 hrs per day. 2. Formulate clear and concrete guidelines and SOPs. 3. There is a need to introduce neo-fordism method of workmanship. Works should be much more specialised and divided among the employees. Employers should stay away to provide multitasking to employees. 4. Allow moonlighting. 5. Introduce outsourcing of maximum possible processes in business management as much as possible, business secrets must also be considered while doing so. 6. Not to expect any kind of identification with the company from the employees.
