How much is low level software experience worth?
Sde2: Linux/unix, driver development etc. How much CTC should one expect with 4+ yrs of experience in such a field. Current position basically gave me experience at all levels, js app, daemon, kernel, dev ops etc.
Pay is a function of which college you come from, where did you last work, and how competent you are in the role you are applying for, and how much you got paid before.

Point is. Identify the companies that have this role. And know what they are paying. And then seek referrals.
