Annoying manager

My manager promised me a certain role. But now putting me in different team, I was the one of the top performer in my team this year. I want to beat the shit out of him but can't do what to do now. He himself keep on changing company in Evey 2 years. And he is not a good person why I'm saying this because he keeps on shaming his father habits in front of team whenever we have casual gatherings.
