Ahmedabad - Tips
Coming to Ahmedabad for a work trip in April, visiting the city for the 1st time. Anything interesting to do, or should I just work - go to my hotel - work - go to my hotel?

In April! Just stay inside the hotel. It would be as hot as the surface of the sun.

Stay inside the room during the day pls. Will be too hot.
In the evenings I would recommend the following:
1. Manekchowk : amazing street food hub. (Try the mahalakshmi pav bhaji/masala pav, Ghotala dosa, cheese tawa pulav, ghughra sandwich - All these items are yummy and must try!)
2. Visit the Kankariya lakefront. It's a nice 2km circular walkway and looks beautiful at night.
3. Visit the Sabarmati riverfront and Atal bridge. Again a nice walking path which looks beautiful at night.
If you get a spare day, visit the Sardar statue in Kewadia colony. There are daily trains to and fro from Ahmedabad. It's a majestic statue (visit during evening hours and pls stay back for the laser show)
Hope you gave a good time.

I'm from Ahmedabad.
You can visit Sabarmati riverfront.
It's a 10,12km stretch on both banks of the river. It's multiple parks and other things to do.
Go visit Adalaj ki Vav early in the morning.
Some 15,20km from city centre.
Visit Kankaria in the evening preferably on a non weekend day
