Has anyone transitioned from Product manager in hardware to software products ?

I have 7 yrs of experience in product management . It’s in electrical product segment . I know from a fundamental product life cycle standpoint job expecations are same but I do not have any knowledge on software tech or tools . Recently I have learned a bit of AI and looking to transition into AI product management . Is there anyone with similar experience ? How difficult or easy it is ? And most importantly which companies are likely to hire
