First Bike Suggestion 🚲

Looking to get my first bike, I have used Gixxer 250 sf from my friend and ktm before , but looking to get a new bike from the list, please share your experience & help me choose from my list. I did some initial research and looking for test drive this weekend.

Would be good to hear from bike enthusiasts.

I was faced with a similar problem a year ago. Speed 400 if you want to ride a bit aggressive, interceptor 650 otherwise. I went with the int650, don’t regret it at all.

You can’t compare bikes with stats, they’re different in their own ways. Depends on your driving style.

If you want to wring its neck, then speed 400 or duke 390. If you want good driving sensations and torque, int650. Rest of them options are not powerful enough imo.

I am 5'10 looking for city commute and weekend breakfast rides. Occasional touring. Driving with pillion sometimes. Good road presence shd be helpful, refined torque engine with less gear shifts, light clutch, linear power, not driving very fast hence the retro / classic or scrams

Driven a friend's Harley x440 (top end model black). The driving is really smooth, good for long distance, very minimal vibrations on neutral. But extremely heavy. And you'll have to change the default seats because its too soft and will hurt your back on long drive.
The exhaust sounds and the road presence in unmatched.

Remember every vehicle has tradeoffs, even if you buy a bike for 10lakhs. So, choose your tradeoffs which you can live with.

For me, the after sales service experience is important. Unfortunately, the only good after sales service near to my location is provided by Yamaha. But they don't have any good bikes this year. KTM and RE has the worst service.

I am bit sceptic about speed 400 as it's entry level for Triumph and heard they aren't very good. I would prefer good after sales brand

Have seen many friends have scramblers and they like going on off-roading. Depends on what you want tbh.
