Grape vine need a down vote button, too many shitposters here.
Title is explanatory
What kind of problematic posts are you seeing? Would love to solve
A feature request @Micheal_Scott
The shareable links to the post sometimes mandatorily require the app. Else, it would direct to play store.
- This hinders us from sharing information with non grapevines, as they just comment I am not on grapevine and don't bother installing
- If you allow them to atleast view post with a limit on browser then they might like what they see and even get nudged to install the app or even if not use your website functionality.
So a request to make grapevine shareable links to be viewed from browser also..
@Micheal_Scott
There could be problematic posts, there could be posts/topics that one simply is not interested in.
From a personalisation aspect, I think downvote/dislike should help catering to both.
I personally am fed up with so many posts on whats your salary, whats your wealth, etc. other people may not be.
I would definitely like to see less posts on few topics, even if that means I dont have many posts to go through. Quality > quantity.
Quantity chahiye to mai Twitter pe jaayega na 😁
I guess having specific communities and being allowed to hide all posts from that community solves all these problems? Unless, of course, people post in the wrong community Forgive me, but I'm not sure how down voting would help, I usually sort my feed by "most recent"
If you unsubscribe from a community does it still show up on your feed? Doesn't seem to show up in mine
Hmm... Let me see
But also, there's no "dating and married life" community and those are the posts I'm sick of 🙃
@Micheal_Scott
All we need is a good recommendation system that shows the preferred content and learns the preference.
I am happy to work with grapevine on this if required...!
Giving downvote powers vested interests with large paid following to suppress content which inconveniences them... We have all seen how woke feminists gang up and suppress anything on men's rights to begin with.
@SoberMonk hope you see that above point as a red flag.
Maybe something like recommendation system+ blocking topics/keywords feature will help all
