Guys help! My normal mails are ending up in spam

I use Outlook (fine judge!), I got my username with it. Gmail is an A$$ when it comes to getting your own name mail

Anyhow, basic mails are ending up in spam

I use that ID to pitch my case for potential job roles. It maybe ending all in spam

Probably the problem was never me

Create some rules, to forward important one to specific folders. And if you’re receiving marketting emails from same domain, thats the reason it’s ending up in spam.

Mark it not spam, for those which are relevant. Algo will learn from this. Usually outlook or other clients, mark it as spam if it’s coming from generic addr like communications@domain[.]com or newsletter@domain1[.]com

If name addr is also getting spammed like enthu.biryani@freelance[.]com, then create rule so they don’t mark it as spam.

Ahh, I get it now. I’ll have to read on this, huehue. But you can create a separate acc for professional stuff, how about create an acc on protonmail? I’m sure your username must be available.

Is it a custom domain? If so, you need to set DKIM and SPF records.

Just basic [name]@outlook.com

then it should have worked fine. Maybe it is because of the content of your email.

A few people might have marked your email as spam, and hence the mail servers started categorising all emails from same domain as spam. You will need enough people to keep marking it safe as a continuous process over a few months time frame, then slowly slowly it will start moving to inbox. We had faced this in one of my previous orgs, and we ended up having to buy a separate domain for marketing emails and separate domain for official work emails.
