Hi all , recently my father has been asked to get root canal . I have alredy purchased health policy from hdfc. Now when i want to know whether they are going to cover it or not they are giving me vauge answer. They asked me to send mail with proof that doc recommed for treatment . I hv sent it but till now no reply. This people give you 5 calls in half hr to buy health insu. But now they dont even reply on mail for claims 🥲🥲

Can check policy doc. Afaik ergo only provides dental coverage in case of injury/accidents or hospitalisation

Thanks for the info ig thats why they are delaying but my worry is there slow process of replying. If the same delay happens in emergency that would be really worrying

Contact your advisor. He will be able to follow up on behalf of you to get a quick answer. Nevertheless, you don't send an email to the insurance company and ask whether something is covered or not. No insurer bothers to reply. That's not the way to enquire. Read the policy wordings to know what is (not) covered.
