Fraud. This is actually business, they were not making profits, so they decided to file bankruptcy. CAs do a great deal of job in hiding the money and the auditing authority are paid handsome, the owner and board fills their pockets while the investors or people who bought stocks lose everything. Pretty nice tactic for smart business players. And later you'll see they started a new startup , within a year or two.

You don't , if the people around are paid well. These CEO/owners hide their money and file bankruptcy, take the investors/stock owners money and run away , starting new venture .
