How are people getting > 20 LPA?
I've had this doubt for a long time. How are people getting > 20 LPA while they have only 2-4 YOE. Is it because they are from tier 1 Universities?
Or they are switching from top companies with a higher current package?.
Or, is it their tech stack, skill or any certifications?
People who are already getting paid a good package with low YOE, share your insights and the reasons that you may think are the reason.

Depends on How important a job is to the company and the company itself. Mine is an Investment Banking and the role is a critical one which is why although I'm from tier 3 college with 2.5 yoe, I'm still paid more than 20.

Be interview ready all the time and yes good college helps and little bit of luck

Its an equation of demand and supply. Wait for cycle to turn

Yeah, usually decent companies used to offer 12-20LPA for freshers in our college (t1). And this was almost a decade back. After my first promo and refresher I crossed 20 in less than 2y.
