Connected with the recruiter on LinkedIn and sent a message

I joined via referral as a contractor and then they offered a permanent position.
Anything you did well that helped you get a permanent position? I'm kind of in the same boat , the company that I'm working as a contractor for is very good so I'd love to get a permanent role there

Well, back then 4 years ago I was a bachelor. I used to work during the day and used to sit in the night either to work or understand what other's tasks are. Always finish your tasks well and explain it if you have a stand-up. Maintain a good relationship with everyone. You should make an impression to them that, if you're not there - it'll be a loss.

Had applied to >300 jobs on linkedin

Applied to every job i saw and messaged every person in a high position in companies I wanted to be in. Interviewed over and over. Its a numbers game. Luck is a HUGE factor

I took this question from the Twitter Post and the comments are quite good.
