How do you handle working from home?
I have been wfh for more than a year now, my parents would keep ordering me to do small household work even when I’m working. I have asked them not to do that as it distracts me, but they will not simply listen and even scold me and compare me with others that they help their parents 😅
I have thought about just going to a different city and wfh from there but my parents are also getting old so have to think about that also.
Relax.
You don't have to do everything the moment it comes to your plate, especially if it's from family.
Ignore it and it will get done. In fact if it's something really important, which only you can do, it has to wait.
WFH is such a blessing. To be closer to your family when you can, enjoy every bit of it.
If your parents need support with household, hire help.
Tell them that how better you could have done if it would have been better focused and also let them know that your kind of work need more attention unlike others.
Also sometimes you may threaten them that you are being closely monitored and there is a risk to many in the industry and even in your company..(just to ensure that they won't distract you kore often) so that you have to focus more on work. After all they too want to see you grow and excell
Go to the office, isn't that an option?
