How must one get into the world of strategic marketing? Is MBA the only way?
Did a little analysis and found myself to be decently suited for marketing roles given the current set of skills I have provided I polish them and go from 6/10 to 8/10. Would love to know how GV marketing folks broke into the field and hopefully some tips as well. Background CSE Btech (pursuing)
If you want to get into marketing at top tier FMCG firms, MBA from Tier 1/2 campus would be the way as these companies hire regularly from those places.
While there isn't any strict restriction on the domain, but would absolutely love to break into tech and directly-related fields. MBA as a GEM is somewhat of an uphill task. But hey if that's what it takes, why not MBA?
Just curious, since you have rated your skills...have you done marketing before? An internship or helping a small business via paid ads / SM etc?
