How to cope with work anxiety?
Just another Monday of work and with some anxiety. Not anything severe.. but it gets annoying how frequently this happens. Work related anxiety feels just the worst and it makes me feel I wish I never had to work in corporate. I am curious if anyone can relate to me?
I usually face this anxiety when I am about to receive some work or getting involved in new projects, having an impostor mentality that what if I'm not qualified or what if I do not perform well? This mental gymnastics leads me to imagine so many scenarios.. It feels like such a mental burden, even the job feels like why does it require so much mental energy - sometimes I wish I worked something that involves minimal mental ability or something that requires more of a routine, or creativity or honing skills like cooking or baking or any other pursuit that doesn't force me to face this anxiety or makes me want to prove my worth.. I can't even imagine doing this for another 30-40 years..
Does anyone feel the same? How do you deal with this?

Read history about how our grandparents used to work without tech and their physical and mental health, nowadays due to tech everything has been happening in front of screen so need keep ourselves fit mentally and physically otherwise gonna feel the fatigue.
Make use of AI, learn new things, don’t just spend the days doing office work, explore hobbies.
Also check for Cholesterol, vitamin B12 and D levels, if any issues then make changes to lifestyle.

I didn't, I'm not a developer and neither I'm new to corporate and I'm not sure how that's even related to my question.
Our grandparents were sadly focused on their survival. Also, I do have plenty of hobbies I'm occupied with, and I'm trying to stay updated on AI tools as well.. I keep learning from time to time through work community or Udemy.. maybe this AI itself is adding some pressure as well due to the uncertainty of the market. It makes me feel sick sometimes how easily replaceable everyone is.

Sincerely,
Meditation - Makes your mind and discipline strong.
Pick a regular social activity - Sports, social service, any other social meets. Gives you social energy from people outside work
Read - Gives you perspective and pieces of experience from other people's lives.
Build work connections - Not saying you have to force it, but if you are able to have a few good connections/peers at work, it makes it a lil easy.
All the best.

Noted, thank you.

Hey that's exactly me when some one says it's routine work no challenge I feel I want such work. These days even preparing small reports also is frustrating coz of this anxiety and what if someone finds fault. I always regret choosing IT as a career. With 15 years experience want to quit every single day.

Exactly I feel the same

If that's the case, it might be worth considering leaving the corporate world and pursuing something aligned with your hobbies or passions. These days, there are plenty of opportunities to explore different paths. If you're not enjoying your work, it could be a sign that you're in the wrong profession.

I really wish I could. I don't really have the liberty to explore new options due to family loans. I need a steady income to keep us all afloat.

100% I also feel the same bhai.

+1

Every single day, there are times I cannot enjoy the basic things in life because my mind is clouded by work related thoughts. I often wonder if this is how my life is supposed to feel . I feel if I was doing something that I enjoyed I would probably won’t feel this much of a resistance.

I think scrum is the reason, now days they are in so hurry to deliver project and set unexpected goals. I feel the same
