Get a 2 wheeler or leave early. There is literally no other way. The last option is take a yulu to a popular junction and swap to an auto/cab from there
Take a bus. My life improved significantly since I made this decision. I was super frustrated wasting time for booking via app. This took out all uncertainty which was causing anxiety. Takes a little longer than cabs, but worth it for me. If you have AC buses running on your route, even better
I live in a tier-two city. 3-4 cab drivers are now my friends. So I just call them. Most of the time, one of them is nearby. I check the amount in the app and pay them.

I dream of starting a ride sharing cab service these days. There used to be one pre COVID. I don't remember the name though. They only operated near metro stations. For 30-50rs I could travel 5-6km. Uber share was the best too. Those were the days.
There's one called quickride still surviving. But I think it's not as active before.
