ONDC updates?
Has anyone used ONDC? Does it have any app? It was mentioned somewhere that it heavily reduces delivery costs and prices are better than swiggy and Zomato.
Can anyone tell me what is the criteria for converting an existing online store into ONDC integrated buyer app? Do we need to do extensive paperwork to get the approval (since it’s govt backed protocol)? And is it as simple as just integrating their APIs to pull catalogue & inventory levels, then push order data back into Ondc or do we need to run any integration layer/store all sorts of data for compliance? Any heads up from people familiar with the protocol is appreciated.
The integration itself is straightforward. But think through the non-happy use cases e.g. how will you support a customer who bought an item (sold by a seller who listed on another ondc enabled platform) on your platform incase something foes wrong
We can just pick the items we want to sell right? Instead of offering everything in ONDC on sale. Also Can the buyer application or the seller themselves handle logistics? Or does the system assigns logistics partner automatically?
You need to register with ONDC as a buyer app and integration is not much hard. There are some APIs you need to integrate.

Everything kept aside, it’s genuinely awe-inspiring that they’ve been able to do this in a market with close to zero ...
ONDC seem Big threat for Swiggy/Zomato , Amazon/Flip kart, Dunzo /zepto/ blinkit/ big basket.
How will these e commerce giants (already operating on huge loss) survive now
