I have been working as a freelance journalist for a year but I have a degree in advertising, I want to work as a copywriter or in digital marketing!! is it a good choice? Sorry to burst the bubble, but somewhere in you I sense that you're really not interested in getting into "getting hands dirty" kind of journalism. And that's totally okay. Better to realize sooner tha later, suggest you move to digital marketing because copywriters (not sure how good your copy would be) are paid absolute peanuts. Even lesser than how much WITCH does
make a stellar content portfolio and then step out.. see the world treating you differently
Try and move in a like for like role now - so content may be the way to get yourself embedded in a marketing org.
After proving your mettle, navigate from there depending on what roles you'd want to get into.
