iPhone Repair
Hey folks, My iPhone XR battery maximum capacity is reduced to 78%. Thinking of getting the battery changed to push it for another 1-2 years. Has anyone done a battery change before? Is it worth it? Thanks, Tax - YoE - 4 TC - 21
Would recommend getting an iPhone 14 pro or the upcoming 15 series from the USA ( via a friend travelling to India). The Cameras and displays are a significant upgrade compared to the XR.

Most people don’t need anything past iPhone 11. You are taking pics of random stuff, the quality is already good enough
My dude, for that we need
- money
- friends
- friends in US
- friends traveling from US

I got battery changed for older iPhone, was like 1200inr, was 100% with it. It works better now.
Just change the battery.
Did u just go to apple store to get this done or first called customer support? Also is this price for out of warrantee ?

Was way out of warranty. I went to shop that was well rated. It said Foxconn on the container the battery came from. Though I have no idea how genuine the battery was. But works fine.

I am in a similar dilemma and have an 11 pro. I’ll be trying to go another year without battery change and then upgrading to a newer version.
Considering you’re on the XR, it makes sense to upgrade to a 14/14 Pro instead of trying to prolong its life further.

This is my 3rd iPhone.. the previous 2 I changed battery after 3 years and they usually work smooth for another 1.5-2 years
78% isn't too bad, should last you an year or two. Else follow what @SilentBiopsy says, battery replacement can be done on third party or even official "imagine stores"
