If your working in ISL then yes you can ur working for product based company. The salaries are much higher in this BU as compared to other in IBM. Work life balance and culture is same as the product based company not timesheet or such. You get all the good perks of IBM such as high spec latest MacBook, outing budget etc

It's both, actually.

They are trying to become a product based company, but its culture is rooted to Services and so I doubt it can shift in a short period of time. If they want to compete with product based company, the shift need to start from the very top to bottom.

The products are really good and cutting edge in nature, specially in AI and cloud computing. I like it

True that, IBM has some top-notch products, like the IBM Cloud and Watson, but they also provide a wide range of services, such as consulting, system integration, and application development. Even their consulting is product based now, they want all the deliverables to be standardized

IBM is both a product-based and a service-based company. It develops and sells a wide range of software, hardware, and services, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and consulting.
