Obviously yes. If you are getting salary and it's getting reflected in epfo portal then yes

These days any org performing bgv check for your epfo portal if you have any history of working with a company they will ask for experience letter etc. That might cause trouble for you

Don't abscond, it will create problem not only for Infosys but in next switch also bcz MNC companies are very strict about Pf and service history.

Complete the notice period as it may attract legal obligations towards you.

Relieve properly. Wipro may send legal notice and ask you to pay money if you abscond

Tech or non-tech, doesn't matter. Get relieved from the role at Wipro properly, request for reducing notice period, explain to Infosys HR and revise your joining date to a later date. You're just starting, don't do it on a wrong note like absconding.

I guess you have 2 options:

  1. Ask Wipro to release you early or
  2. Ask Infosys to extend your joining date

Of course they would ask you to provide a relieving letter from Wipro — your BGV (Background Verification) team will be able to see your employment history through your EPFO records.

Just for your information, it doesn’t matter whether the role was in a tech or non-tech profile — employment is employment.
