Is e-commerce losing relavance
Over the past few months the price difference betweem e-commerce websites and stores during sale period have decreased with Reliance Digital and Croma being at par or better than Fk or Amz in terms of pricing (except a few poster items)
Fashion based e-commerce in India is even worse with size issues, courier frauds and high returns. Companies are now charging a non refundable delivery/convinience fee to become profitable.
Reliance has drastically reduced investments in e-commerce and is focussing on expanding offline presence.

We are moving to Omni channel. Typical consumer behaviour is to see products before they are purchased. Reliance digital, croma have a good online presence as well and tier 2-4 cities where growth is happening always prefer buying offline even if the price is slightly higher
Pretty much every offline retailer now knows that they need to be able to match the online price to be able to make a sale. I've been able to get better prices for electronics at chroma and r digital.
I saw prices on Amazon/FK during sale, compared with reliance digital website and decided to go to the store and buy 😂
