Over the last few months, I interviewed with 5 big names – Cashfree, Rippling, Junglee Games, Sony, and Paytm – and honestly, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
I cleared multiple rounds, got great feedback, and in some cases even received congratulatory calls or official confirmation emails. But when it came to the final step – the offer letter – I was either ghosted or met with endless delays.
- At Cashfree, HR kept assuring me that the offer was coming soon and took all my documents too. It’s been over a month now, and they’re still citing “business priority changes.”
- Sony and Junglee Games, HR initially shared interview feedback regularly. After chasing them for weeks, they said I was selected and that salary discussion would begin. After that – complete silence.
- Paytm actually congratulated me via email* – and then went completely cold.
- Rippling followed the same pattern: good conversations, positive signs, and then… nothing.
This isn't about rejection – that’s fair and understandable. It's about the lack of clarity, accountability, and basic courtesy in the process. Candidates spend time preparing, interviewing, waiting, and often juggling multiple opportunities. The least we deserve is honest communication.
Curious to know – has anyone else faced something similar lately? Is this a broader trend, or was I just incredibly unlucky across the board?
Would really appreciate hearing your thoughts or stories – especially if you've been on the receiving end of similar “selection but no offer” situations.
