is software product manager role over?u

i am product manager with 6yoe and with some good brands. but lately i am wondering if this is peak and future demand of software product manager with no hands on coding experience will keep declining i sometime feels that either i have to learn coding (which i am learning) or else find a hard core industry like EV, renewable energy, batteries, semiconductor etc whats your thoughts? super curious to learn what you all feel about digital product manager? also one question where i appreciate your feedback - I have not done MBA yet but contemplating it now to make switch industry to non software. I know this is very non traditional but would love to hear feedback

I guess the exit path for a product person is not to become CPO. Risky with too many contenders now. The exit path is to build a product business. I am a PM with software experience, and when I see most product leaders around on Linkedin, they are trying to promote frameworks or running interview shops, I am somehow convinced that I should move away from these folks! Can't make a living based on the same. I don't think MBA is going to help you either, because most of those folks are trying to be where you are now (at least with tech experience). It's a sunk cost with 2 years of forego salary and some dent in savings too. My advice would be to start a service business (webflow, bubble) and start making money. Big big market as of now too.

Golden advice. Tons of opportunity in no code low code service shops these days. Even Shopify for that matter.
