Job Change Advice

Hi guys,

I wanted an advice from you as I am in a confused state. I have got an offer for a leading company with a significant pay raise. However, now at the end of my notice period my current employer is ready to give me a pay raise and match the offer. What should I do?

I have been stagnant when it comes to growth in my current organization and whatever Upskilling I have seen is through my after office hours study. I am confused as to what should I do!? I have a 1.5 yrs experience.

Hey man, congratulations on your offer, and for sure a switch makes a lot more sense,

Also curious how you landed this role/offer in the current market situation.

Was it organic or a referral?

Used to connect with people from the same domain on LinkedIn and talk to them and that worked!

Hey, no confusion. If the answer is within your query:

-> You feel stagnant and have no exposure to new technology. There's no real chance of upskilling within the company🌝

-> They are coming up with a matching offer towards the end of the notice period. Why wouldn't they do it before if they valued your work? 😗😗
It's because they couldn't find an immediate replacement for you, and they want the project running; hence, they are trying to retain you. If you stay here by revoking the resignation, then for another 1-2 years, don't expect anything from them, like hikes or other opportunities. They will parrot the same saying, "We retained you by giving higher hikes... We retained you with higher hikes," like that...🙄

Switch, get more money, learn new things, meet new folks, and stay happy.💫
