job dilemma!!!!!

I worked as a SWE for 2.5 years at an Indian MNC, I honestly didn't like the project as my daily work used to on a legacy technology, My manager never approved me (or anyone for that matter) to move to a different project with good tech stack and challenging workspace. So, resignation was my only choice without any backup offer, which I chose and later I unfortunately had to undergo a surgery, My doctor had advised me to take 3 months break from everything and stay home. It's been 6 monts since I left my job, currently I am revising the concepts of Java (Core & Advanced), SQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap along with Spring Boot. My problem is do recruiters consider my profile, even if I get an opportunity, do recruiters consider my salary negotiation, and does my career break affect the hiring process? Please guide me. I resigned from my current company and my LWD is on 10th Jan. The new company I'm joining gave me a joining date of 8th Jan with the clause that I'll only be eligible for joining bonus if I join on or before 8th Jan. My question is can I join the new company before my LWD? My current company is not cooperating to reduce my notice period by 2 days. I guess the joining company did this on purpose so that they can skip on the joining bonus. What could be done here?

I accepted an offer from Company A but explored other options and recently got a better offer from Company B. I’ve had second thoughts about Company A, and I’ve learned their salaries are often paid late.How should inform Company A that I won’t be joining them?

I am having 3. 6 years of experience in service based, but due to cost cutting and lack of project, I lost my job, asked to do force resignation. today is my last working day., I started preparing for product based companies few months back. I completed dsa and started working on development to build some projects because I have zero knowledge on building applications. but this layoff happened in middle, Right now I have two options. Either join any any company that I get by makinng my profile as immediate joiner obviously it will be again service based company and it will be my 3rd company or shall I persue my dream of cracking or joinng in product or unicorn by having gap. I put lot of efforts for my goal now I am in middle of achieving it. Any suggestions will be Appriciated. Comming to money side, I have made some savings to survive for 8 to 9 months because I am single so no responsibilities. But my only confusion is shall I let this gap or shall I join in any company immediately, if I need to join any company then I have to join again in service based company. Please suggest me which one to choose. Also will Gap matters for my next employer.

The company I used to work for recently shut down and I just received my first offer from a sizeable unicorn. I am being massively low-balled (20% cut). And on top of it, it's an exploding offer. I have a couple of interviews lined up (they start after May 28th) but at the moment, this is the only offer I have. What should I do? 1. Hard negotiate? Leave the offer on the table if it doesn't work out. 2. Soft negotiate. Get the offer. Interview with other companies and try to get a better offer before joining (feels wrong) Things to consider: - I have 10+ months runway - Last cash comp was 24L at 2.5YOE I'm leaning towards 1.

I am a 2024 grad. I got to know that my org has 3 month notice period. I have talked with 2-3 seniors, I got to know that they don't let go before 3 months and don't offer buy out. The CTC is not that good also (8.3 LPA). My background - new IIT CSE, 500+ question on leetcode, knight in leetcode, specialist in codeforces, have projects in go backend, intership in spring boot, sql tech stack. Had to take this offer as I didn't cheat in on campus placement and less companies were visiting my campus. My job location is in Chennai, I have done internship there. I do not like the weather there and my org says that I have to go there only. I want to do a early switch(weather+low ctc). Many peeps from WITCH do switch despite having 3 month notice period. Can someone guide me what to do in this situation. Do I have no other option than staying in this company ? Please enlighten me all software engineers 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am seeing a lot of layoff related posts everywhere from news articles to LinkedIn.. Is the Job market really that bad now? Or just the media is projecting that way? If it's really bad, which department you think is the most affected? How's layoffs specifically in India? Or is it layoffs in US but more hiring in India due to cost cutting? Are layoffs in technology/engineering dept as in for developers or some other departments? Your thoughts please..

HR is is trying to lowball me into accepting an offer at my current compensation stating market conditions. I don’t have any other offers yet. What can be done here? 🥲

When you have only 1 offer in hand and HR is pushing you to respond immediately (take it or leave it). You also want to try for other options how do you ask for more time?
