Job Market is scary/frustrating
I've been in the job market for about 4 months now. It's disheartening to go through the process and companies not valuing your time or the word they gave. I've been in offer stages for 3 companies now and it's just frustrating for one reason or other things just don't end up working out. Either it's low balling the offers or just plain "internal misalignment".
I've 7 years of 0-1 sales experience and it's getting tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Not sure why I'm ranting here, maybe there are folks in the similar boat and would love to hear how your experience has been looking for a job in this climate
Have 8 YOE in sales and PnL. Have worked with 3 unicorns in this period. Out in the market since last 2 months with my existing job. But no luck so far. Competition is fierce, jobs are less. Have reduced my asking salary to land more profiles. I have applied to over 500 companies, but only 10 calls, and after that ok only 4 interviews. 2 I didn't Crack, 2 of them have expressed inability to hire at high package and can offer same compensation.
500 to 10 to 4 is a heart wrenching funnel.
Facing the same situation that you are. I've been applying passively over a year , but been applying actively since 2-3 months. Till now I've applied to over 200+ companies but I've only heard ....maybe...5-10 callbacks . I'm so lucky I already have a job , otherwise I'd be screwed big time
How much is it you asking in compensation? The numbers of 21-22 are drastically down
Well aware of that, I'm just seeking 25% above my last CTC that's it. Very realistic
Slavery quotient is quite high right now. And slaves are freely available.
