Leaving job to pursue passion. Ex-corporate warriors, was the leap worth it?
People who've walked away from high-paying careers to pursue their passion, was it worth it? What unexpected challenges did you face, and what advice would you give to others considering a similar move?
I did the same, wasn’t worth it. Lost 12L in savings and 2 years of adding to that 12L in savings. All-in-all, it effectively set me back by at least 1Cr in value has I just stayed put in my job and invested my savings
What are you trying to pursue? Make business out of some idea you have or has talent on something and trying to breakthrough?
Did that for 3+ years. Lost around 10L and took me 3 additional years to be back where I was careerwise. Needless to say, the impact on my financial trajectory was huge. I would suggest passion persuers to stay put and gather funds till there can FIRE and leave it forever.
