Loopholes in HRA exemption?

Well my landlord has refused to give me his pancard and I have a very high hra component .

What are legal and not so legal ways you folks claim HRA?

Have you ever got a notice from nirmala tai or what's the worst that could happen?

If you pay more than 50K PM rent, then TDS of 2% is mandatory.

So you should get his PAN automatically.

In case less than 50K PM, if you pay via Bank Transfer, then go to his bank and manage to get his PAN (obviously not by asking directly).
