Making my first switch, how to go about negotiating a decent offer

I had quoted a ctc, they have agreed with that ctc but now I think it's quite low (17.5 lpa fixed for 2.5 yoe). It's a startup. How do I negotiate it to more. They want me to accept offer letter asap. I am in the process of interviewing a couple of more companies where I hope to get around 22 lpa fixed. Should I accept it and then say no few days later?

Negotiate as Lamberghini commemted otherwise accept and say no later. Don't feel guilty about it, I'm sure they won't if they have to roll back the offer later or when they have to layoff.

What reason should one state while saying no after they have accepted the offer letter. Just be honest and say? I have received a better offer from somewhere.

If you're very sure that other offer is really good and they won't revoke it later, then you can say no and I've found better opportunity. Otherwise don't say no to the previous offer till joining date.

Ask for a joining bonus or get the offer and ask for a counter offer. You could've bargained saying you are due on promotion because you are a high performer in current role
