Manager shouted and insulted me at G**** Learning

My manager made me sit in the meeting openly humiliated me , shouted at me even said tomorrow you are getting hired if not given data in 1 hour , even recorded the meet to threaten me said will complain against you when I tried putting my points calling it shouting at your manager and I started crying in the meeting

Hi, hope you are okay. The best way in these situations is stonewall him/her : my reaction is usually a dead pan face, which doesn’t give him much to go on after the first 2 sentences. (This is just for short term till you find another job)

Most of the times it’s the manager’s own insecurities which they are projecting onto others, don’t take it personally.

No one can ruin your Career like this. Just walk away and quit. But try if you can reach a skip level etc. But depends on the Company culture

+1... These managers think they are in military or in government.thry can transfer you to some remote location or punishment posting...lol The worst punishment they can give is give reduced rating at appraisal. That will also not happen if the bigger boss rules against.

i worked in ONGC - culture there is better than most corporates . It was like a family . Frankly i think now even the significance of my work there was lot bigger

Do not be apologetic for your manager's unnecessary outburst. Some people just focus on climbing the ladder rather than exploring what actual professionalism is. Like @LetsGetLaidOff said, share his name, position, and put this injustice out in the world for everyone to see. It is high time to shed light on all kinds of toxicity. It is not the 1950s anymore.

If he's already firing you, put you on PIP, personally insulted you, you have nothing to lose. You've survived the worst. Keep pushing through!
