masters in USA

I'm currently working as a software engineer in India, with TC 45LPA and 2 years of experience. I'm thinking about applying for a Master's in CS in the USA for fall 2024. But I'm not sure if I want to settle there or not currently. Should I make the move considering things are going well in India? Getting a job directly in the US seems close to impossible. Any advice? Hey everyone I’m a fresher with around 6 months of experience as a java developer in a start up! I was thinking about doing MS in USA, but not sure what course, How & When, But I’m sure it’ll help me and my poor family to level up, and also I dont have any godfather or dearly relative to help with the required knowledge, thought this’ll be the better platform to ask my questions! How is it guys? Will it worth to spend 50L+ to study in US n get a job there? Whats the success rate? Will I be able to do it? Does it require more talent than it takes to do it in India? PS: I studied my BE, ISE at NIE Mysore(which is one of the very good colleges in Karnataka) I’m afraid that if I can do it! Will I ever be able to get a job in US!! Please help me guys with your detailed answers. I’m planning to goto study around sep’24

Confused if i should go for MS CS from USA or stay in India, how would you decide? I have almost 5 years of experience as a software engineer in India. Its been a long time now, that i am confused if i should go to US for MS considering i will have to take up a loan of 50 lakhs. Also the layoffs are here, probably scenario will be good once the MS is over (May ‘24) , and i might be able to repay the loan. It seems like a huge step and a risky one. My motivation for US are 1. Foreign Exposure and Experience 2. Bank Balance for better retirement in India As IT is uncertain and we never know what might happen in future. What are your thoughts on this, what factors should i consider?

Guys. Please suggest. I have been working in wipro since the last 4 years without much career growth. I'm planning to do an ms in cs next year , i.e fall 2025 . I wanna pursue an ms primarly bcoz of current stagnant career so that I can eventually switch to a good product based company post my masters in usa. And , also bcoz I can bear the costs financially. But I'm really scared to start all over again . I'll be 27 by the time I start my masters. Is it a good decision to start masters at 27? Will I be able to secure a core entry level SDE job in product based companies at the age of 29? Please guide me

I'm working as a software Engineer at a startup with almost 2 YOE. Looking at most of my friends going to usa for masters right after college i felt like I'm making a mistake by not doing the same after listening software engineers earning 100K us dollars there. I thought I'll give myself two years get some work experience and then think about it but honestly I'm still confused if i should switch(which is not proving to be so simple in the current job market) or should I go for masters (again confused here in choosing between usa or Germany or Australia). Will taking almost 40 Lakhs of loan money and doing it be worth it ? Seriously damn confused about what next step to take. When I spoke with the CTO here, he advised it's not worth and you can be earning almost similar money here soon. I'd say FOMO is also a big thing here. As i tell myself let's take the risk, 2 years of study will be done soon and then work for 3-4 years , make big money , repay the loan and get back to India. I'd be having the international exposure, experiencing some above average lifestyle than India , so confused man Any grapeviners who might have seen people around them taking this step please suggest me what to do, any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏

Currently with 3+ yrs of experience and earning around 36 LPA ( 28 fixed and 8 esops ). Getting a feeling like I am not earning enough and also I am getting a FOMO looking at my friends who are doing MS and settled in US. I want to experience it, but not sure if it’s worth it or should I look for switch to get out that fomo? It’s now or never for doing MS as I am will be getting almost 4-5 yrs experience in next few years. Also, Feeling like I am getting old for MS Please give suggestions.

How to Choose this due to the ongoing Job Crisis situation in USA and other Western Countries?

I'm a 24yo M, into frontend engineering making over 18LPA. I'm also working part time for a startup. I'm considering masters in the UK, US or Canada on the same order of priority. my main reasons to even consider masters are the following - meet people from different backgrounds - get a better paying job with a work visa in a foreign country - FOMO as a lot of people i know from college are now abroad studying/working cons i see in this approach - heavy on the finances - economy isn't doing very well worldwide - job market is pretty bad rn - i have everything here in India (family, friends, a well paying job) my ideal case would be to get a visa sponsored job opportunity, but considering the economy and job market it seems impossible. would love to know opinions of some experienced folks or anyone who'd have some guidance for me. thanks.
