MBA fresher

I have just started my MBA and I feel lost in the crowd.

I consider myself not so interesting and since everyone says personality plays a key role, what should I do to become more relatable and charismatic?

Who is this everyone? If they are your MBA batchmates, they don't know sh*t. If they are the "wisdom activators" on social, they have not even lived a single lifetime of their own to be able to impart wisdom on how to excel in life.

Be your own person. Diversity is the cornerstone of human progress. If everyone thought and behaved in the same way we would never have had any scientific and artistic breakthroughs and would our textbooks would still say that the Sun is the center of the universe. If everyone was outspoken, we would still be fighting over words.

Read up, form your own opinions, be open-minded, be humble, always look for different sides of a story and don't just believe a single point of view.

If you are an introvert (just like me): you will still excel and get by. You don't need to network with 1000s of people. Read Quiet by Susan Cain.

+1.. agree on one thing. When it comes to networking quantity doesnt matter. Who you know matters. That key person's relationship with you matters.

I've come across people who try to be relatable just do the sake of it and often fuk up in some way or another. Honestly you don't need to force it. Just add genuine value to the people you hang around with ( Other people can go fuk themselves) . I don't have anything to add to being charismatic cause there isn't a way you can become that in a short period of time Also, why waste your limited time and energy in building fakeass bridges in the name of networking or socializing just be authentic and focus on people who're actually aligned with similar goals.

Dont work too hard now. No matter what your boss says hard work right now will not yield much results. And over the period of time you gain the "number of years pf experience" your boss and circumstances will also be different. So work like you pay tax. Just sufficient enough not attract the attention of authorities .
