She was a neighbor, and initially I found her attractive and became friends with her, and we would socially hang out sometimes. But then I found out that her critical thinking skills were very poor, and she heavily believed in things like astrology, religion, alternative medicine (herbal stuff) and that she rejected scientific medicine (allopathy), all of which completely turned me off.
So later one day when she expressed that she was attracted to me and really liked me, and wanted to start dating me, I told her (perhaps a little bluntly) that I was only interested in friendship, and that I was not attracted to her romantically.
So she became very angry and refused to talk to me for a few months, but after that things slowly went back to semi-normal (but a more distant) friendship, till I eventually moved away from that city, and we lost touch after that.
I see why she was attracted to you. You were 'better' than her in certain sense and she caught that. Everyone wants to be with someone who is better than them
