Is mental health a big problem for all you other PMs ? Sometimes days, weeks and months are so difficult in aligning , solving and scoping that you have a breakdown . The constant need to always be on top is exhausting and take a toll. How do guys handle this ?

Not at all, it's all in your head. I have been PMing last decade. No one can give you stress. Only if you want to take

What do you say to pushed down timelines and never ending urgency from bad leadership?

You do your best my friend. And leave the rest. Karmanye Vadikaraste Mafalesu Kadatjana. Meaning - You only have control on your inputs. Outputs are not in your hand. So focus on your locus of control - which is inputs. Are you doing your 100% effort to execute. If you are convinced yourself then good. If there's room for improvement take the feedback from leadership/ peers and be your better self.
This grind will help you in the future.

After a certain time, you get into Zen mode. You do the PM part of the job and communicate well.
No resources - delay the timeline.
A project forced down - inform everyone about the 0 impact which you expect from the feature. Delay the timeline for everything deprioritized.

And finally you prepare your resume to get out of the hellhole.

Yes. PMing can take a toll on mental health.

Was on a never ending project pushed by c level and all that the stakeholders did was promises and meetings without getting resources. Ultimately you’re answerable and you’re expected to get shit done with no power.

I’ll suggest take a break if you’re not feeling well. And if you don’t feel right then take help from experts. Get a mentor within company, someone senior who has been through this
