Moving to Bangalore
I am moving to BLR next month. I want to have some advice from people already livin there. I will be working near Indiranagar and am in the middle of figuring out the best place to stay. I am confused regarding both the area and kind of stay.
Kind of stays: CoLive/PGs or 1RK/1BHK Area: Near Indiranagar, Domlur, Embassy Golf View or areas which come near Purple Line i.e. Kadugodi, HopeFarm, Hoodi, Kundalahalli, SeetharamPalya.
Would really appreciate it if you could give suggestions, provide any sort of leads or even share your experience.

My suggestion: Don't move.

My suggestion:
-
Go for a room in a flat, PG has some benefits but the pgs you would get are not that great.
-
Try to live close to your office, you would save travel time and the hassle free start of your day will have an amazing impact. Although having metro as an option changes a lot.

Don't rent the appliances, go for second hand appliances, use them and then sell them away when you are moving out.

"Go to a room in a flat", does this mean to move into a preoccupied flat, or a 1 BHK?
Around Indiranagar, there isnt much of societies vgera, its mostly residential/builder appartments.

1BHK is also a good option but you will have to buy appliances, utensils, furniture etc. An alternative is a room in a pre-occupied flat. See what you can get for cheap.
Builder apartments are always cheaper than those society ones.

Ejipura is around 2-3 kms from Indiranagar and there on this route is very less. You can find affordable places in Ejipura. But still going for a room in a flat in Indiranagar is your best option.

Check the street view, can't stress this enough. The images on the website might be old and will rarely show the neighbouring area. For your first accommodation, go to the place with the shortest lock in period and looks decent (obv). Then, visit the other places in person

Nice thanks!

Check for settl colive in Indiranagar. A lot of those indiranagar. Sharing beds for 14/15k. I felt these were better than stanza. And then you can check for flats for rent.

I dont really want to share a room, and private room costs similar to flats in societies

Simple, if you have wfo most days . Staying near office makes lot of sense since you have more time for gym or general relaxing and not waste time traveling even at the cost of costlier rent. Also stay in bda area for max peace of mind about water, electricity, waste collection etc

Have 5 days WFO xD
