Investment Advice
I have close to 15 lakhs sitting in my bank account. Where should I invest to get stable 15-20% returns pa with minimal risk.
I want to start investing in mutual funds. I want to design my portfolio for the long term goals(15 years min). I was confused about what the mix of funds should be. I can take risks now but I don't want my portfolio to be volatile as fuck. Like 15-16% returns with some diversification(5% or you suggest) in debt maybe.
Can someone suggest what should be an ideal mix?
Thanks in advance P.S. Upvote please even if you can't help as it will reach desired audience.
I will suggest the following 3 options
you dont want volatility- 100% balanced funds as per your post ( mix of equity and debt )
50% balanced fund 30% Index fund( mix of nifty and next nifty) 20%( split of mid cap and small cap) Reason stability and the small cap and mid cap part will give you the extra return
3)30% balanced 30%Index fund (Nifty and next nifty) 10% multi asset fund 10% mid cap 10%small cap 5%gold 5%international fund of funds
I would recommend the last .. but all are ok .. just giving you some samples .. tweak as per risk appetite , needs , time period etc etc
Thanks man!
Kindly DM if really interested in designing a long term portfolio
