In my recent experience and knowledge, strength training and calorie deficit while maintaining ratio of macros is the only way to lose fat.
Do not try to stop cravings altogether. Better way is to track your daily calories and then see what you can eat and what not.
Also, when you say 'light snack', track its calories too.
As you said that you are constantly hungry then you are doing something wrong. Either your macros are incorrect or you are eating too less.
I was 97kg in July 2024 when I enrolled with a fitness coach, I am 86 as of today. And I eat everything, its just that portions are controlled and I workout 6 days a week.
