Publishers are incentivized to use negative and clickbaity news. Your best option is to stay away from 24/7 news channels and online portals. Go old school physical newspaper if need be. I’m at a point where if the news is important enough it will reach me through family, friends, employer alerts etc.

Heard from people I know at Bain that they are laying off. This is mostly the first time an MBB is doing layoffs (earlier they would silently fire, or delay onboarding)
