PM here with 3.8 YoE, got an offer from a B2C/B2B company for PM position. Full time wfo, based out of Mumbai. Offering 20 lpa fixed. Verbally said will be starting ESOPs from next month and eyeing to go public in the next 2 years.
Yay or nay?
What is their runway?
What is their arr?
How can one say going public in 2 years , how did they arrive ? Generally startup founders throw out lot of gas
Asking these sort of questions are stupid and only helps in showing off yourself on social media. Because 1) The HR is not gonna answer these anyway correctly to me even if I ask, 2) Even if he does, there is no way for me to validate that, so whatever BS he gives, I have to agree to that 3) It is gonna give wrong impression to them because I am coming as an employee and not as an investor.
I don't think these are at all relevant questions for an employee to ask as these are very secretive and private information.
But isn’t future based on these ?
U hiring me , will u pay me for next couple of years or just u have money for 2 months ?
Also trust needs to be built .
May be I am sounding too idealistic
But what u can ask is how do we go from burning to earning ? Btw, how much are we burning
