Alphasense dude. What's there to choose!
But negotiate a better value. SE2 at 22L seems pretty low. You should ask for more.
Also, ask more ESOPs.

Please take my advise about asking for more with caution. You know how much you can ask for based on if they want you.

Congrats dude! happy for you!

Do let me know how the interviews went and what was asked in it

Congrats 🎉🎉 Just 1 qs, as you said you are currently in a service based company, how did you manage to convince them for 90 days notice period? Need advice.

SwirlyWalrus
SwirlyWalrus

For the first one I had 90 days np. Then I had 2 months and for one I had 1 month np. Definitely there were a few companies which didn't proceed due to np. But yea if you apply at 1000 places at least 5-10 will agree. And i didnt convince them or anything. It was like either they're ok or they're not ok with np. Also one company took OA when I had 90 days but scheduled rounds only when I had 30 days left. So yea. If u want advice if say don't focus on things u can't control. For buyout I just told them I can try to talk to them but I can't guarantee right now. Hope this helps

Honestly I wasn't expecting such a detailed and insightful response. Yeah got it and yeah I will focus on the things under my control i.e. prep and applying. Thank you and yes it helped a lot. Congrats once again 🎉.

If your only worry with Oracle is ADF tech stack, then let me tell you Oracle is changing its Tech. It's shifting to Visual Builder which is a lot better. However could you tell me the location of this offer? And if any RSUs are included in CTC?

SwirlyWalrus
SwirlyWalrus

Yea pretty much. Oh they didn't mention that when I asked about it, I guess it may take time. Hyd. No RSU

Yeah, the first version of Redwood pages just got delivered in Jan 2024. To mostly eradicate ADF, it's going to take at least 1.5-2 years more. Oracle's customers don't like change, so it's definitely going to take time. But it's going to be a lot better soon.

First of all congratulations on the offer. As per my conversation with HR from Alphasense, scalability is what will be missing there. I personally didn't like the product much. But as per the rest of the offers it seems quite promising.
Don't go for Oracle as they are offering an application engineer profile. I don't have much knowledge about Lowe's. Avoid freecharge. One of my friends worked there and he doesn't have many positive things to say.
I would say keep interviewing and try to maximize the offer. I can see a lot of companies are hiring over the LinkedIn.

Appreciate the input! Totally agree. It's the best among what I have right now. Sure! Btw Mmt didn't shortlist me today after referral. Same with other similar. So I guess I need this step for a year or half and then switch big

I don't even know how HR's shortlist resumes here. I have seen them rejected candidates with very good credentials. So, I can't say much about it. Try reaching out to your college alumni, HRs directly through LinkedIn.

Prefer Oracle or Lowe's. I care about money and stability. My personal experience being you can make more money in long run even if learning is little less but you work in stable environment. Who is stopping you to learn after your job? Learning and growth is the buzz word to make you work your ass off so that your boss can become richer. Mostly company with bad culture will talk about learning more.

SwirlyWalrus
SwirlyWalrus

Thanks for the genuine advice. I agree. The thing is I've only done learning on my own till now. Almost nothing on the job on real applications. So I need to learn now and still young so got the hunger. Oracle's stack is niche frameworks/tools. Other thing is I do need money now. Lowe's pay being low and these 2 being Wfo so gotta relocate also. That's why leaning with Alphasense. Any particular con you think with them, apart from possibly less wlb
